When founders Max and Lucy Mace began this ministry, they never thought they would still be doing this 54 years later. Heritage Singers has had the opportunity to travel to over 80 different countries, travel over two million miles and perform over 7,500 concerts. They champion both new music and timeless repertoire. With a repertoire spanning contemporary compositions and transcriptions of classical masterworks, the quartet seeks to establish the saxophone quartet as a leading voice in 21st century classical music. Among many other awards, the quartet recently received the Gold Medal in the 2025 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. The concert will be held at the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of ��ý in Berrien Springs, Michigan.   Thu, 04 Sep 2025 11:35:08 +0000 Tetelestai: Images of the Sonrise http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/67000 The Southshore Concert Band, conducted by Dale L. Reuss, presents "Tetelestai," a concert for the Risen Christ. This program will use modern concert band music to follow Christ's story from Abraham to the crucifixion and beyond. The Southshore Concert Band is an adult band "in residence" at Lake Michigan College. We are excited to bring this special concert to the Howard Performing Arts Center. The spirit of the concert is a celebratory remembrance of those who have gone before us. The audience will enjoy a variety of musical styles, from classic to popular. A highlight of the program will be the performance of a yet unpublished work by world-class composer Rossano Galante. This wonderful new composition for band was commissioned by the Southshore Concert Band and is titled " Images of the Sonrise ." Guest vocalist Jeff Whittaker will also perform with the band.
