Know the warning signs and what to do to prevent suicide

Are you or someone you know at risk of suicide? Here are some suicide warning signs:
- Isolating from friends and family
- Withdrawing from activities
- Extreme mood swings
- Visiting or calling friends to say goodbye
- Talking about feeling hopeless or having no reason to live
- Talking about wanting to die or kill oneself
- Looking for a way to kill oneself, such as searching online for materials or means
- Sleeping too much or too little
- Acting recklessly; acting anxious or agitated; increased use of alcohol or drugs
- Giving away prized possessions
If you or others you know are experiencing these symptoms, seek help immediately by contacting the °®¶¹´«Ã½ Counseling & Testing Center (CTC) at 269-471-3470. You may register for services or access telehealth services via Academic Live Care (ALC) here (°®¶¹´«Ã½ login required).
You can also call or text: 988 (24/7 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call the ALC 24/7 urgent care line at: 1-866-349-5575.
CTC services are free and confidential to °®¶¹´«Ã½ students and their spouses. ALC telehealth services are available to all °®¶¹´«Ã½ students and employees.
Help is available. Suicide is preventable. There is hope.
